A Fresh Take on a Classic Favourite

If you love the crunch and spice of our Tamby samosas, you’ll love this creative way to serve them. Inspired by Indian street food, the Samosa Chaat Bowl combines crispy samosas with chickpeas, yogurt, and chutneys for a vibrant mix of textures and flavours. It’s perfect for lunch, entertaining, or an easy weekend meal that feels special without any extra work.

Ingredients

  • 2–3 Tamby samosas (vegetable or meat)
  • 1 cup canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon Tamby curry sauce (left over from our curries at our outlet) or your favourite curry gravy (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon mint chutney
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind sauce
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • Chilli flakes or chaat masala (optional)

Method

  • Warm the samosas in the oven or air fryer until crisp and heated through.
  • Prepare the chickpeas. In a small pan, heat the chickpeas with a spoonful of Tamby curry sauce or a pinch of your favourite spices (such as cumin and coriander) for extra flavour.
  • Assemble the bowl. Break up the samosas into bite-sized pieces and layer the chickpeas over the top.
  • Add the toppings. Drizzle with yogurt, mint chutney, and tamarind sauce.
  • Finish and serve. Sprinkle with chopped red onion, fresh coriander, and a pinch of chilli flakes or chaat masala if you like some extra heat.

To Serve

Serve immediately while the samosas are still crisp. For a sharing platter, make a larger version on a flat dish and let everyone scoop their own. It pairs beautifully with a cold drink or as part of a weekend feast.
